This restaurant, located in a historic house in Mascouche, will wow you with its comforting “funky” dishes, fresh bread, and the love put into each plate.
Homemade gnocchi topped with local Bufarella and a poached egg for breakfast? Yes, please! Pecan pie French toast? Absolutely! A breakfast poutine that changes with the season? It’s true! Café Aragon

1497 Galt Street West, Sherbrooke (Estrie)

Brunch classics — eggs Benedict, omelettes, and other takes on the famous coco — are revisited here in an even more gourmet way thanks to the amazing local products used by Café Aragon. Hatley cheese from Fromagerie La Station, mild Victoria sausage from Charcuterie Scotstown, English muffin from Café Noir, spinach, mushrooms, and more: all of these great ingredients come from small local producers. Bonus point: for several years now, Café Aragon has stood out for its responsible waste management practices, earning multiple awards and distinctions.

Janine Café

3900 Wellington Street, Verdun (Montréal)

We go to Janine Café, the little sister of Régine, for both the classics and more original dishes, as well as for its chic retro tea-room-style décor. Must-tries include latkes, the famous potato pancakes served with smoked salmon, brioche French toast with poached apples, or the Scotch egg. The atmosphere is warm and the plates are generous. You’ll also find several vegetarian and even vegan options on the menu. What more could you ask for?
