10 places to experience pick-your-own in Quebec

Things to Do

There’s nothing like an outdoor getaway to fill your basket with freshly picked fruits and vegetables! Pick-your-own is a delicious experience where you stroll through the fields, discover hidden corners, and savor the taste of perfectly ripe harvests. Depending on the farm, the season can start as early as the beginning of summer and extend until the first frosts, offering the chance to pick a wide variety of produce: juicy strawberries, sweet blueberries, flavorful raspberries, crisp apples, colorful pumpkins… and even curiosities like cucamelons, artichokes, and mini eggplants.

To easily find farms offering this experience, Mangeons local lists all public locations on an interactive map, whether for shopping or pick-your-own. And to inspire you, we’ve selected 10 places to discover where you can fully enjoy the pick-your-own experience.

Les Jardins VMO

Located just a few minutes from downtown Drummondville, Les Jardins VMO invites you to experience cranberry pick-your-own in a unique setting, surrounded by woods and revitalized former lands. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a different experience that is both delicious and educational.

Contrary to popular belief, cranberries don’t grow in water! They grow in dry fields, like the ones you explore during pick-your-own. Flooding the fields is a technique used only for commercial harvesting, to make the berries float and easier to collect. Pick-your-own, open from late September to mid-October, allows visitors to learn about harvesting techniques and take home their own cranberries, perfect for snacking or cooking.

Take advantage of the season to plan your outing and enjoy pick-your-own at its very best!
