With more than 13,000 km² of territory, it’s hard to pass through Québec without crossing Lanaudière at some point. Did you know Lanaudière is one of the regions with the highest concentration of farmland in the province? So while you’re in the area, why not make a few stops to discover the many hidden treasures this beautiful region has to offer. Here are some of our favourite addresses — perfect for both kids and adults.

The mission of the Abbaye Val Notre-Dame remains the same as it has always been: supporting the monastic community by creating a variety of handcrafted food products. Made from potatoes grown right in Lanaudière, their old-fashioned potato doughnuts are a real treat — even for those with more sensitive digestive systems, as the dough contains neither eggs nor preservatives. If you’re a carnivore at heart, La Terre des bisons is calling your name. After satisfying your sweet tooth, why not swing by and say hello to the bison? Known as Bison Lanaudière, this farm has specialized in bison breeding for over 25 years. Located on a sprawling 400-acre property near Rawdon, it offers a unique experience — and we promise, your new profile picture with bison in the background will be a hit.
At Miel de Chez Nous, bees rule the kingdom. Nestled at the foot of the Laurentian mountain range, this charming honey haven is well worth the stop. The site offers several activities, including a bee museum, an extraction room visit, a bee safari, and a mini farm. Just a warning before you enter the gift shop: you’ll want to buy everything!
