The Tastet team, an interactive guide to great local dining spots, spoke with Noé Lainesse, chef of the Montreal restaurant O’Thym, which won the coveted 2022 Aliments du Québec au menu Restaurateur Award, announced on November 15 during the annual meeting of the Association Restauration Québec (ARQ).

On the phone, chef and co-owner Noé Lainesse said he was honored to be the first Montreal restaurateur to receive the award—and also the first bring-your-own-wine restaurant to win it.

“It’s great that even in an urban setting we can successfully work with local products,” he noted.

For him, the award represents a wonderful recognition of the project and values he proudly carries with his partners Nadine Tessier and Kevin Duguay, as well as the entire O’Thym team.
