Portrait and Story Featured Company

The Vegan Frozen Dessert Revolution in Quebec!

In a world where vegan eating is growing in popularity, Grazy stands out as a pioneer in the field of vegan frozen desserts. Founded by Maude St-Pierre, President and CEO, this Quebec-based company has won over the market with its innovative, delicious products. We met with Maude to learn more about Grazy’s story, its flagship products, and its vision for the future.

The Origin of Grazy : A Story of Passion and Innovation

Maude St-Pierre tells us: “The idea for Grazy was born from my passion for frozen desserts and my desire to create products that are accessible to everyone, without compromising on taste or quality. Derived from the words ‘graze’ and ‘crazy,’ the name Grazy perfectly represents our goal of offering moments of fun through plant-based delights.”

A Commitment to Quality

For Grazy, quality is non-negotiable. All products are plant-based, allergen-free, non-GMO, and contain no artificial colors or flavors. “We carefully select our ingredients to offer desserts that are both healthy and delicious,” emphasizes Maude. The products are suitable for a wide range of customers, including institutional settings such as schools, daycare centers, and hospitals.

The company’s first product line includes a vegan oat-based soft-serve mix, available in two flavors: mango and vanilla. Grazy’s soft-serve mixes are available through several major Canadian distributors and food wholesalers, local cafés and ice cream shops, as well as well-known ice cream establishments such as Chocolats Favoris and La Diperie.

Local Products Verified by Aliments du Québec

One of Grazy’s strengths lies in its commitment to local ingredients. “We use gluten-free oats sourced directly from Quebec through our partner Oatbox,” explains Maude.

The Aliments préparés au Québec logo is a true added value for Grazy. “It allows us to access a wide market and reach customers who are looking for local products,” Maude explains. “Consumers are increasingly aware of the importance of supporting local businesses, and this is reflected in the growing demand for our products.”

Maude and her team don’t plan to stop there. The company is planning continued expansion in the short, medium, and long term, while maintaining its high standards of quality and innovation.

This attention to detail has earned Grazy several awards, including the Prix de la Relève Alimentaire from the Fondation Initia and the Prix Coup de Cœur Aliments du Québec in 2022. The delicious vanilla mix also won the CTAQ Innovation Award in 2022 and the Grand Prize “Taste” in 2023, further solidifying Grazy’s reputation as a leader in the vegan frozen dessert sector.

We aim to raise the standards for healthy, vegan comfort foods by making these options more accessible to everyone.”
