The Aliments du Québec au menu – Restaurant program recognizes establishments that highlight Québec foods on their menus.

Developed in 2014 by Aliments du Québec, in collaboration with the Association Restauration Québec (ARQ), it is intended for restaurateurs who are committed to sourcing locally and showcasing local products.

How to be eligible for the program?

No matter your type of restaurant—whether you are a fine dining establishment, a neighborhood restaurant, a diner, a food truck, a caterer, an inn or hotel restaurant, a restaurant chain, a seasonal establishment, an ice cream shop, etc.—you are welcome!

Restaurants recognized by the Aliments du Québec au menu program commit to offering a menu that is primarily made up of Québec products: their menu must contain a minimum of 60% Québec food products throughout the year.

How to join Aliments du Québec au menu?

1. Registration and activation of your profile

2. Submission of information for review

Once your profile has been created, you will need to provide the following information:

your menu
the list of your suppliers*

Note: The term “supplier” refers to a Québec producer or a company that fully processes its product in Québec. If the establishment sources from a distributor (for example GFS, Sysco, Dubé Loiselle, Colabor, or others), you must provide the name of the producer or processor, in addition to the distributor’s name, where applicable.

3. Menu analysis

To be eligible for the program, your establishment must demonstrate an annual sourcing of at least 60% Québec ingredients*.

The analysis of your menu is entirely handled by our specialized team, based on the documents you provide. We consider raw products, house-made items, or products from local processors, whether or not they carry one of the Aliments du Québec certification marks.

The more information you provide, the more accurately the evaluation will reflect your commitment to local sourcing.

*If the 60% threshold is not reached, our team will be able to provide guidance.

To maintain your recognition in the program, it is important to update your menu and your list of suppliers each year.

Also remember to update your restaurant profile (text, photos) displayed in our online directory, as well as your contact information if members of your team change. This helps us represent you accurately and maximize your visibility.
